An exceptional little mourning locket with snippets of blonde hair arranged as a flower bouquet design on iridescent mother of pearl under glass. The locket is 14K gold and the reverse side is inscribed "Georgie Born Oct 28 1863, Died Aug 17 1865." A tragedy beautifully memorialized, with the pink and blue iridescence giving the composition an etherial, otherworldly feeling.
