Online Return Policy
Returns of unaltered items in their original condition shipped to US addresses are accepted within 10 days of receipt of your order for a refund or store credit, less shipping costs. All returns must be approved in advance by Erie Basin. Special orders and items that have been resized, altered, or custom made are non-returnable. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and all costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer. Returns are not accepted after 10 days from receipt at your shipping address.
Online purchases made with the "In Store Pick-Up" option selected may be returned within 10 days of the purchase date.
Please note that due to customs and duty fees, items shipped to addresses outside of the United States are non-returnable.
Returns may also be made in person to Erie Basin during business hours within 10 days of receipt.
In Store Return Policy
Returns of unaltered items in their original condition purchased in person at Erie Basin’s Brooklyn store are accepted within 7 days of purchase for exchange or store credit only. Special orders and items that have been resized, altered, or custom made are non-returnable. Store credits expire one year after the original issue date.
Your Account
If your use of this Site requires setting up an account and/or password(s), you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password(s) and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in our sole discretion. If you register on this Site, you agree that any information you provide to us will be current, accurate and complete. Erie Basin will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. As well, you could be held liable for losses incurred by Erie Basin or another party due to someone else using your account and/or password either with or without your knowledge. You agree to notify Erie Basin immediately of any unauthorized use of your account and/or password(s), or other breach of security.
Orders and Price
We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order in our sole discretion, even after your receipt of an order confirmation or after your credit card has been charged. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price, we have the right to refuse or cancel orders placed for the product listed at the incorrect price, regardless of whether the order has been confirmed or your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will issue a credit to your credit card account.
Online Payment Options
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover for online purchases. For security purposes please do not send cash or include your credit card details in any email communication.
Gift Options
If you purchase is a gift, please select that option at checkout. An option to include a personal message will be included. A receipt will be omitted from the package.
Sales Tax
Applicable taxes will be charged on total merchandise and service fees, including shipping and handling, for orders shipped within New York state.
Charging Your Credit Card
Once your order is placed, your credit card will be charged. You will only be charged for the items that are shipped to you, along with appropriate shipping and tax, where applicable. Orders are subject to verification and acceptance before shipping. We are not responsible for typographical errors.
Shipping Policy
All shipments are insured to their purchase price, and sent by UPS. All domestic orders over $700 ship by UPS 2nd Day, and over $1500 by UPS Next Day. Domestic orders below $700 ship by UPS Ground unless otherwise requested. Upgrades to Next Day shipping are available for other orders.
Please note that we only ship Monday to Friday. Orders received on those days before 1pm EDT will ship the same day. Orders are not processed or shipped during scheduled closures of Erie Basin. Please see our hours for more information.
Please note that cannot ship to PO boxes.
International Shipping
We offer insured UPS shipping to select international locations for $65-185, depending on order total. Note that customs clearance into your country may cause additional delays (sometimes up to three weeks). Recipient is responsible for any import taxes and/or tariffs.
Repair Policy
We are happy to assist with repairs or alterations of jewelry items purchased from Erie Basin whenever possible, but please be aware that certain antique pieces may be impossible to repair. Items needing repair or alteration can be shipped or brought in person to Erie Basin. If you would like to ship it to us, please email us first for shipping instructions. Once received, we’ll provide you with a quote for the work. Unfortunately we are not able to handle repairs or alterations for pieces not originally purchased from Erie Basin.
