A very rare c1830 Georgian-era folk painting depicting outstretched hands clasped together over a fountain with white doves. The words "Friendship the Fountain of Love" are written over the scene. Mounted under glass in a gold brooch mounting. A nearly identical example is in the Smithsonian's collection of early American folk art.
