An antique c1800 Georgian-era collet-set green beryl in 14k rosy-yellow gold. More commonly known beryl varieties are emerald and aquamarine, but in the 18th and early 19th century, these light green beryls were very popular. Nowadays light green beryl isn't commonly seen, as most of it is heat-treated, yielding a blue-toned gem better known as aquamarine.
As is usually the case with rings from the Georgian-era, the stone was foil-backed to lend greater brightness. Foil-backed stones should not be worn in water as moisture can become trapped behind the stone.
Currently a size 6-1/4 and could be resized in the 4 to 8 range for $75.
