The Ascendant ring has a 0.80 carat marquise diamond with an extremely rare color-changing ability. Under normal conditions the diamond presents as pine colored, but when left in complete darkness overnight it becomes bright yellow. After 30 seconds or so of light exposure, the diamond reverts back to the dark green tone. Chameleon diamonds are extremely rare and the mechanism by which they change colors is not known. It's set in a bezel supported by blades that elevate it above an 18K green gold shank. Made in New York. Comes with a GIA certificate stating Fancy Dark Gray-Yellowish Green color and VS2 clarity.
Currently a size 5-3/4 and could be resized in the 5 to 6.5 range for $75.
