EB 1.36ct Diamond & Emerald Ring

Part of our EB Modern line which incorporates unusual vintage diamonds into minimal mountings of our design. This ring has a large rectangular diamond weighing 1.36 carats set with a rectangular green emerald on one end. The stones are set within a single platinum bezel on a square 18K yellow gold shank. The diamond comes with a GIA certificate stating K color and VS1 clarity. The diamond has very strong blue fluorescence, a naturally occurring feature of some diamonds that makes them appear whiter in daylight. In the case of this diamond, the florescence is so strong that it actually takes on a blue hue in natural light. Fluorescence is often labeled a defect in the modern diamond market, but it was once considered an attractive quality since it makes a diamond appear whiter. We used this diamond's strong fluorescence as a design element, pairing it with a cool toned emerald. Made in New York.
