Part of our EB Modern line which uses rare vintage diamonds in minimal, modern mountings of our design. A 1.33 carat heart shaped diamond is set in east-west orientation in platinum prongs with an 18K yellow gold knife edge shank. The shifted orientation has a surprisingly strong effect on the perception of the shape. The heart's outline becomes less obvious-- appearing almost amorphous. The diamond is beautifully and somewhat unusually cut. It likely dates to the 1950s-- long before it was a common cut. It has a GIA certificate stating D color (the highest possible) and SI1 clarity. Made in New York.
