An unusual and very striking c1980 vintage ring with a cluster of old cut diamonds set in a wide, heavy yellow gold band. Probably assembled in the 1980s with antique diamonds. The center is an old European cut weighing approximately 0.85 carats. In a halo around it, and in flanking crescents are single cut diamonds, weighing a total of approximately 0.54 carats. Weighs 12.5 grams.

Currently a size 7-1/4 and could be resized in the 6.5 to 8 range for $75.

Very Good. The center diamond protrudes very slightly through the back of the setting so that it touches the finger, though not uncomfortably. Patina.
