A vintage c1950 stirrup ring with a gypsy-set brilliant cut diamond weighing approximately 0.10 carats. Called stirrup rings for their resemblance to horse stirrups, the style originated in the 12th century. In the late 19th century and early 20th century there was a renewed interest in the simple austerity of Gothic design, and stirrup rings became popular again. It's unusual to see a vintage one in white gold. Sturdily built in 18K. Weighs 8.3 grams.
Currently a size 7 and could be resized in the 5.5 to 8 range for $75.
