Currently closed for vacation. Orders ship February 24th.
A finely made c1900 antique curb chain with alternating links of striped niello and plain gilt links. Made in 800 silver and probably German.
Niello is a black mixture of copper, silver, and lead inlaid into engraved silver. It's a centuries old technique, but it was particularly popular in France, Germany, and Russia at the end of the 19th century.
