Labradorite is a variety of feldspar discovered in Labrador, Canada in 1770. Although it's somewhat fragile, it was popular for use in jewelry in the 19th century, particularly in Europe. It was prized for its unique iridescent optical effect, which was later coined as "labradorescence."
Currently a size 7-1/2 and could be resized in the 6 to 8.5 range for $75.
