An unusual necklace with pendants decorated in black enamel anchors and small purple crystals. Probably assembled into a single necklace around c1900 from a c1870 Victorian earring and locket suite. The swag design was particularly popular around 1900, so the assemblage from older pieces was probably an attempt to make older jewelry more fashionable. The clasp is engraved with an M.
