A c1800 Georgian-era ring with rose cut diamonds and a beautifully detailed gold shank. Built in silver topped gold, with foil backings behind each diamond, as was the common construction of diamond rings before 1840 or so.

Note that rings of this age and style of construction are not well suited to daily wear, and should not be submerged in water.

Currently a size 8-1/2 and could be resized in the 6 to 9.5 range for $75.

Materials

Approx. 0.40ctw Rose Cut Diamonds, Silver and 9K Yellow Gold

Date

1790-1810

Condition

Fair-Good. The foil behind the diamonds is heavily oxidized, and the diamonds themselves have some small abrasions and natural flaws. Surface wear to silver. Appears to be all original.

Size

US Size 8-1/2 (could be resized in the 6 to 9.5 range for $75)
