A particularly elegant and minimal vintage engagement ring with a 1.25 carat old European cut diamond center and a pair of 0.22 carat diamonds on either side. Built completely out of 14K yellow gold, with six prongs around each stone, in a style that was popular at the turn of the century. An inscription from 1957 and the cut of the side diamonds date the ring to the 1950s, but it was clearly made with an antique aesthetic in mind: the center diamond is a c1900 cut that was likely recycled into the ring. The inscription reads "J.B. to M.B. 12-22-57." An EGL USA certificate for the center diamond states H-I color and VS2 clarity. An independent appraisal is also included.
