A 1920s Arts & Crafts style ring with a spectacular black opal showing flashes of bright red, yellow, orange, green and electric blue. The body of the stone is an unusual dark green color. The stone is technically a doublet, since it has dark colored glass adhered to the back of it, but it has impressive depth, and would no doubt be a beautiful stone even without the backing. In a classic Arts & Crafts style 14K mounting, made by Church & Co-- a company founded in 1922.
