A lovely turn-of-the-century Edwardian opal ring with a large beautiful stone that shows strong flashes of pink and green. The opal however is heavily crazed-- a condition of fine surface cracking, often resulting from extreme dry or heat conditions. The crazing in the stone is very light, and in an unusually consistent and fine pattern. But it would not be well suited to everyday wear. A beautiful opal and ring in any case.
