A massive Victorian pendant in remarkable, practically unworn, condition. Large faceted pale green beryls are set in bloomed 15K gold. Green beryl is the lighter variety of the same mineral species as emerald. The backside of the pendant has a small arched locket compartment containing a braided lock of brown hair. Comes in its original fitted case from D.C. Rait & Sons, a Scottish jeweler and purported "goldsmith to the queen." An impressive, very special piece of Victorian jewelry.
