A spectacular, large Victorian pendant with a micromosaic panel depicting an Egyptian scarab. These micromosaic panels were typically souvenirs brought home from Italy during Grand Tours in the 19th century. Back home they were incorporated into jewelry and worn as status symbols. The frame is intricately detailed with a drop panel supporting seven torpedo-shaped pendants. In 14K gold and dating to the 1880s.

Materials

Micromosaic: Glass and Brass; Pendant: 14K Gold
