An unusual and beautifully made c1900 antique pendant of a pair of birds on a perch. The bird's bodies are set with demantoid garnets-- an incredibly rare bright green gemstone that was mined in Russia in the late 19th century. They have ruby feet and are sitting on a rose cut diamond and sapphire hanging perch. Built in platinum.
