Part of our EB Modern collection which uses rare vintage gemstones in one-of-a-kind designs, the Winged Uranium Necklace has a massive rectangular piece of florescent lime-green uranium glass mounted in silver and lined with 22K yellow gold beads. A heavy 18K yellow gold snake chain attaches to the pendant at blackened silver wings.

Uranium glass (aka vaseline glass) is a material more common to decorative glassware than jewelry, that fluoresces a strange neon green in daylight-- owing to trace amounts of uranium in the glass. It has a low radionuclide count of approximately 0.06 mr/hr. This would be within a safe range of exposure for occasional wear.

Note that the blackened patina will change over time, but could be reoxidized to refresh the surface color.
