A spectacularly sculptural c1890 bird pendant set with approximately five and half carats of lustrous rose cuts and old mine cut diamonds. The rose cut diamonds are set with foil backings to make them more luminous-- a technique that late Victorian jewelers used to recall Georgian jewelry from the previous century. Constructed in silver topped 14K gold. On a sturdy c1900 English chain in 15K gold.
