1840s Pinchbeck and Green Paste Bracelet
Materials: Pinchbeck (a rare early alloy made to simulate gold), Green Paste (green crystals)
Date: 1840s
Size: Center measures 1.5 inches top to bottom. Bracelet is 6.5 inches long in total. Fits a very small wrist.
Condition: Very Good. A couple stones look to be old replacements. Was probably shortened to fit a small wrist.
Description: An unusual early Victorian bracelet made from pinchbeck, an early alloy invented to simulate gold. Finely made in textured articulated links with a center of roses and green paste. Dates to the mid 1800s. Fits a small wrist.
