1803 Enamel Signet Mourning Ring, Mine Cut Diamond, 18K
Materials: 18K Gold, Black Enamel, ~0.10ct Mine Cut Diamond
Date: Early 1800s, Marked 1803 inside the shank.
Size: US Size 10 (could be resized for $40, but sizing down would remove some of the engraving)
Condition: Very Good. Probably had a glass enclosed compartment with hair behind the head originally.
Description: A very handsome Georgian-era mourning ring in the form of a signet ring, with black enamel and a lovely old mine cut diamond. The band has beautiful hand engraving that reads "T William Jon Ba_ OB 28 Apr 7, 1803"-- a dedication to the named individual, who died on April 7th, 1803 at age 28.
